curriculum vitae
Born in Chicago, Il., USA, living in Berlin, Germany since 2006
I see life as an ongoing learning process that always offers opportunities to create new things and to discover the past.
After graduating from high school north of Chicago, I went to the Glasfachschule in Kramsach in the mountains of Tyrol, Austria. After a amazing 3-year apprenticeship program as an art glazier, I moved to Munich to try out and apply my newly acquired skills.
Many years passed during which I have been involved in various fields of arts and crafts. But regardless of where I worked and what I did: my fascination for glass has never subsided and has accompanied me for over 30 years.
Through my undergrad museums studies, I learned the academic approach to systematising objects and the core elements of collection management.
In 2010 I decided to enrol in a graduate program, in conservation and restoration, so that I can now protect, conserve and store the objects even more precisely.
In 2016 I started my own company and moved my studio into the Goerzwerk in Lichterfelde/Steglitz.
The studio is a source of inspiration, a workplace and at the same time it is a place of creativity and connection.
I am looking forward to hearing from you!
